Terms & Conditions

By signing up to participate in our classes, you agree to be bound by our Terms & Conditions as set out below (Terms and Conditions)

If you do not agree with any of these Terms and Conditions, please do not participate in our classes.

We reserve the right to change, update or re-issue these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any such changes will be posted to our website, and you agree to be bound by such changes.

References to ‘we’, ‘us’ and/or ‘our’ within these Terms and Conditions, is a reference to Portside Pilates and its’ related entities (as relevant).

 

Personal Agreement

By signing up to participate in our classes, you agree to be bound by our Terms & Conditions as set out below (Terms and Conditions)

I agree that Portside Pilates is in no way responsible for the safekeeping of my personal belongings whilst I attend my class. I understand that classes may be physically strenuous and I voluntarily participate in them with full knowledge that there is a risk of personal injury, property loss or death. I agree that neither I, my heirs, assigns or legal representatives will sue or make any other claims of any kind whatsoever against Portside Pilates (or its members) for any personal injury, property damage/loss, or wrongful death, whether caused by negligence or otherwise. Portside Pilates does not assume responsibility for any lost or stolen personal property. If you do become the victim of a theft, immediately report it to a Portside Pilates Instructor or administrator. By booking into a class, you automatically agree to these Terms & Conditions.

 

Conditions of Entry

Please remember to bring your mobile phone to check in via our QR code.   If you do not have a mobile phone, please sign in at reception.

Place your session card in the ‘arrivals’ box at reception. You can collect your card as you leave from the ‘departures’ box, which is also located at reception. If your card has expired, please tend to the renewal payment prior to attending class.

Portside Pilates reserves the right to refuse entry to, or eject from the Studio, any Clients (or others) who are behaving in an anti-social, intoxicated, disorderly, aggressive, offensive or dangerous manner or in any manner which may threaten the security of our Clients or other people at the Studio.

In order to minimize disruption during classes, we recommend that you aim to arrive at least five minutes prior to the scheduled commencement time of your class.

Clients are strongly discouraged from departing their class prior to the scheduled conclusion time as it is disruptive to the enjoyment of others attending those classes.

Smoking is prohibited inside and out the front of our Studio at all times.

You are required to treat all persons and property at the studio with all care and respect.

For hygiene purposes, socks must be worn at all times during your workout. Specialised studio Pilates grip socks are available for purchase at reception, should you forget to bring some.

 

Cancellation Policy

We have a 24hr CANCELLATION Policy.

That means you can cancel up to 24hrs before your ‘scheduled’ class start time, and the class will be credited back to your account for future use. Otherwise, you will be charged our Cancellation Fee*

(*Cancellation Fee – Value of your Cancelled Class in Full)

 

Failure to Produce Session Card at time of Class

In order to avoid future confusion, if you forget to bring your card to your scheduled session, you will be required to pay the Casual Fee of $30 before you can participate in the class.

 

DNA or No-Show

In the event of a ‘Did Not Arrive’ or ‘No-show’ – the full class fee will be charged. Your instructor will notify you by text message and (on your next attendance), your card will be punched accordingly to represent the missed class.

 

Session Card – Expiry Date

Please note that all of our Studio Session Cards have an expiry date of 12 months. Your twelve months begins with the first class taken and recorded on your card.

 

Active System Invoicing & Receipts via Email

As we are now using the new 'Cliniko' system for our bookings and cancellations etc., every Client should receive a 'renewal' Invoice by email each time it becomes due. These emails are system generated. Receipts are available by return email on request.

Please be sure to notify us as soon as possible if your email address changes, to enable us to keep this system up to date.

Our available payment options include:
   1.  Bank Transfer (Account details are provided on each invoice)
   2.  Payment by Cash
   3.  EFTPOS facility (in Studio only)

Please be aware that payment of your invoice is required before attending for your next class.

 

Privacy Policy

We here at Portside Pilates are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent loss, misuse, unauthorized access, modification, disclosure, alteration or destruction, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure any information we may collect online or otherwise. However, you should keep in mind that the transmission of information over the internet is not completely secure or error-free. In particular, emails sent to or from our website may not be secure, and you should therefor take special care in deciding what information you send to Portside Pilates via email.

Portside Pilates may collect the following information:

Name

Contact information including email address

Date of birth

Emergency contact person

Appointment history

Payment history

Demographic information such as a postcode

 

Medical Warning

Prior to undertaking any new form of exercise, you should consult with your Doctor or other healthcare practioner to ensure that you are mindful of your current health and any restrictions that may be appropriate for you.

We at Portside Pilates ask that you please be honest when completing your ‘Client Profile’ form, with particular emphasis on the ‘Health History’ section. This information enables your instructor to set appropriate class structure to suit your current physical capability.

When participating in our classes, do not over exert yourself and work at your own pace. Stop immediately if you feel any pain or discomfort. You should seek medical attention if there are any unanticipated changes to your physical condition at any time.
